A personal account of four Indian cyclists who cycled around the world in the 1920's, starting from Bombay, going north, then west. The group splits in the Mideast and two drop out.
An incredible tale. Some of the people they encountered had never seen a bicycle before. In some places (Iran, I believe), the sand was too deep to cycle. They nearly froze in the mountains of current-day Pakistan. Almost died of thirst in Iraq.
They make their way through Europe, the United States, through Japan, war-torn China, Vietnam, the rest of Southeast Asia and back to India.
They were not the first to cycle around the world, but some of the first. What stories they have!
