Georges Van Vrekhem is a Flemish-speaking Belgian, who currently lives in Auroville. He became acquainted with the works of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother in 1964. He has translated into Dutch several books of Sri Aurobindo, The Mother and Satprem, as well as selected pieces from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. His Beyond Man -- The Life and Works of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother -- is a recognized work on the subject. His other works are The Mother -- The Story of her Life, and Overman -- The Intermediary between the Human & the Supramental Being (Rupa & Co.).
