'We bought Lahore by paying our life as the price We gave our life and bought another paradise.'
(Empress Noor Jehan)
'This love I have for Lahore is love for someone else.'
(Dr Fakhar Abbas)
The ancient city of Lahore has attracted and enchanted people for hundreds of years. Many of them who came as visitors, adopted it as their home, and many others who for various reasons, including the traumatic partition of 1947, were forced to leave it, pained for it for the rest of their lives.
This book consists of a collection of write-ups related to Lahore, and is in my own way a homage to the place where I was born and which after many years of wandering has become one of the two places, I consider my home.
