He had to dictate this memoir as he had trouble with his vision, which makes it all the more different in its nature. He recalls his childhood spent with his patriarchal granduncle, Motilal. There is also a delightful description of how his father taught him Sanskrit, Persian classics and science, and Sanskrit during his prolonged activity of shaving! B. K. Nehru also speaks of his early memories of Jawaharlal Nehru and the book contains several details that not many would know of the first Prime Minister of India.
