Kamran Saleem was born and raised in Sialkot. He is an outdoors type of a person and has trekked all over the Northern Areas of Pakistan. He is a photographer, writer and a videographer, and has several plays to his credit which have been aired on television. He had the opportunity to spend time with Mr. Nadeem Khawar, a well known photographer, and through his observations of Nadeem Khavvar's working, he learnt to hone his skills. He began taking photographs in 2010 and quickly mastered the medium. With his passion for wildlife and his desire to be close to Nature being the driving force, he has learnt the habits of the birds around Sialkot and their dwindling habit. His message is 'If in the surroundings of one small area like Sialkot I find so much beauty, you can imagine how much more beauty exists in the entire Pakistan'. His photography of birds around Sialkot has taken him several years and this book being his first, is a testimony to his skills.
