There is a need to reassess the ground realities for a fresh and a comprehensive Kashmir policy of Pakistan in order to real­ size prompt resolution of this issue.

Although, there already exists a huge body of l literature and publications on this issue considering its importance, the is book is different being food for thought on many counts.

The author, Advocate Saalim Salam Ansari has taken pains in highlighting the is issue in its entirety, with a special focus on linking the historical contexts with emerging realities, new d i­ mansions  and fresh perspectives.

The Chapters on UNO's Trustee-ship - Third Option, and Kashmir in 2035 touch upon areas hitherto lesser known to many, thus differentiating this publication in its genre.

 

This book is a reference guide and a cornucopia of infor­mation for both policy makers and legislators, readers of history, and students of Political Science, International Relations and Strategic  Studies.

Although I may not at all times agree with the author, yet he deserves credit for this impressive effort.
