This was my first Sherlock Holme's story. The book itself was very well designed and has a very ornate feel to it. I loved the size and composition of the book. The story was pretty good, though I admit to being confused about 1/3rd of so of the book. I understand that it is from a different time period, but so much of the text just doesn't translate well for modern readers. I got the basis of the story, but for the length of this story I feel that there is so much I was missing out on. With another few reads I might get more of the story, but I doubt that I give it another read simply because I felt that this took forever to get through.
