This is the first ever selection of the poetry of Ranjoor Azeemabadi. One of the few poets seized with the cultural problems attendant on the colonial era. Ranjoor adopted a satirical manner to protest against Western inroads into Indo-Muslim culture. His poetry, partly didactic and partly satirical, achieved significant popularity. However, for years now, no volume of his poetry has been available. This selection will also meet the need of introducing Ranjoor to a new generation of poetry enthusiasts and students.
