1-2-3 Sesame Street is a storybook for children ages 3 and older designed for use only in the My Poingo Reading System. My Poingo uses different technology than the original Poingo system. Each My Poingo storybook comes with an audio cartridge that slips into the My Poingo reader (it looks like an oversized pen). Touching the reader to the storybook's pages activates the audio. The My Poingo reader does not come with this storybook. The My Poingo system is not compatible with the original Poingo platform. 1-2-3 Sesame Street takes youngsters on a journey through the world of Ernie and Bert, teaching them the numbers 1 through 10 along the way. Touch the My Poingo reader to the words and pictures in the storybook, and the magic begins. My Poingo not only reads the pages, it also activates sounds, games, and songs embedded in the pages. The Sesame Street gang has a birthday party, visits a shoe store, rides a toy train, and has many more adventures on the way to teaching kids their first numbers. Each page builds on the concepts learned in previous pages, and as their understanding grows, kids learn to count by twos, count backwards from10, and more. Features of this My Poingo storybook include: Children touch the My Poingo reader to each page to hear the story read aloud. Children use the My Poingo reader to hear sound effects, music, and other audio surprises. For example, children can touch a picture of bushes to hear a song, or touch a bird to hear it chirp. Children use the My Poingo reader for games and activities, such as Look and Find. The book's sturdy cover and extra-thick pages withstand rips and tears from eager little hands. 1-2-3 Sesame Street conforms to the Specifications for Toy Safety of ASTM F963-07.
