After gardening and writing throughout my life, I changed careers to become a landscape designer and a nature writer. In my early thirties I went on to study horticulture to RHS Level 2 and Level 3 with commendations at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. I've since been commissioned to design over thirty gardens, exploring modern spaces with planting inspired by nature from around the world. I've written for The Telegraph, RHS The Garden, Rakes Progress, Gardener's World, Gardens Illustrated, The Guardian, Garden News and others. In my spare time I love studying wildflowers and wildlife, growing organic produce on my allotment and raising exotic plants in our little yard in central London, which is open for the National Garden Scheme to raise money for its care charities.
