Amanda is an award winning journalist and children's author. She grew up in Scotland and has travelled widely. Her first job as a journalist was on The Egyptian Gazette in Cairo and later she worked as a radio reporter for the Vatican in Rome. For twenty years she was a roaming correspondent and feature writer for The Independent and the Sunday Telegraph.
She now lives in the countryside outside Bristol with her husband and her two teenage sons. Her latest book 'Crog' is a magical realist children's thriller set in the East End of London and Glencoe.
