Anirudha (pronounced : Aniruddha) Bhattacharjee was born in the 1960s in India , grew up in rustic Bihar and Bengal, studied engineering at IIT, Kharagpur, and at Jadavpur University, Calcutta. A chequered career in industries more than one, he currently works as a SAP consultant with IBM. His deep interest in music and cinema made him take up writing as a hobby, and his first published book "R D Burman, the Man the Music", won the National Award for Best book on cinema at the 59th National film awards. He continues to write on subjects associated with Indian film music of the 1940s through to the 1970s.
