Nathan Waddell is a Professor of Twentieth-Century Literature at the University of Birmingham, UK. In his recent scholarly work he has focused on the life and thought of George Orwell, and he has also written about the modernist painter and writer Wyndham Lewis, Beethoven, Aldous Huxley, and many others.
