The author is a lifelong Islamic activist. At the age of 16 he joined the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba and served as Nazim of its Karachi University Unit in 1965-66. Subsequently he has served the Islamic movements of Pakistan, Briton, Iran, Malaysia and Austria. He remains an enthusiastic rank and file supporter of the Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan.
