I graduated as a medical doctor from Guy’s, Kings’ and St Thomas’s Medical School, qualifying as a General Practitioner in 2005. My years as a NHS doctor led me to an interest in wellbeing. I subsequently became a Mindfulness Coach, graduating from the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation in 2020. In addition, I have a special interest in children’s health, obtaining a Diploma in Child Health, from the RCPCH.
I developed my love for teaching during my tenure as a Clinical Professional Practice tutor at UCL Medical School in London, and a personal tutor for medical students, where I focussed on the wellbeing of medical students while guiding them on their journey to becoming a doctor. I developed my own medical mindfulness course while lecturing at The Portman and Tavistock Clinic to fellow healthcare professionals.
I am the author of a new book ‘Mindful Healing’ which emphasises on a self-care approach to wellbeing, using tools that everyone has at their disposal every second of every day, the breath and the awareness.
