Born 1954, in Samara, Russia. Theoretical physicist, PhD 1980, Fellow of American Physical Society (2002), a recipient of Alexander von Humboldt prize (2014), I was employed by Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics (Moscow), University of Oxford (1992-2001), since 2001 in Brookhaven National Laboratory. I have published more than 200 papers in peer refereed journals including Science, Nature Communications, Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences and Physical Review Letters; two books in quantum field theory published by Cambridge University press.
