Penny Joelson was an avid reader as a child and was once so busy reading in the library she was locked in at closing time without being noticed! Luckily a passer-by saw her through the glass doors and came to her rescue.
Penny loves writing thrillers with strong family dramas too. Her YA novel - I Have No Secrets features a narrator with severe cerebral palsy. Penny worked with children with disabilities when she was younger. She currently teaches adults who want to write children's books at City Lit in Covent Garden, London.
