Laurén Carter has dedicated her entire career of 30+ years to the college admissions and college counseling profession. Raised on college campuses and growing up in a college town herself, she naturally gravitated to the field of higher education as an ideal career choice. Laurén spent a decade in college admissions and served as Director of College Admissions at NYU. Additionally, she worked in admissions offices at Ithaca College and Manhattanville College. Laurén has spent over 20 years directing college counseling programs at independent schools, has authored numerous college admissions articles as a Contributing Writer for Huffington Post, and serves as an Instructor for UCLA Extension, College Counseling Certificate Program. A graduate of the University at Albany, NYU, and the College of Saint Rose, she is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling, the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools, and the National Association of Independent Schools. Laurén strongly believes that the journey to college is a time for self-reflection and introspection. She wholeheartedly believes every student matters, and every student deserves a high school journey which is filled with hope, promise, laughter, and joy.
