Jess Redman is the award-winning author of THE MIRACULOUS, QUINTESSENCE, and THE ADVENTURE IS NOW. Her debut picture book, SEASON OF LIGHT, comes out in Fall 2022, illustrated by Ramona Kaulitzki. She is a former therapist who currently lives in Florida with her husband, their two young children, and an old cat named Soul Pie. THE MIRACULOUS earned a starred review from Kirkus, who called it "layered, engaging, and emotionally true." The story was chosen as one of Amazon's Best Children's Books of 2019 and Bank Street's Best Children's Books of 2019.
