Sometimes it takes a minute to figure out what you want to do in your lifetime. One day, an idea came to me, with such a force and intensity, I could not ignore—so I didn’t. I packed all the belongings that I could stuff into a used motorhome and with my dog, set out to Alaska. Driving though the stunning countryside was inspiring and set in motion ideas for my story. It was an experience of a lifetime, to be alone in the wilderness, traveling to new places, wandering the countryside, and creating my story. While spending time alone, my characters came to life, beckoning me—I was never lonely. My dog, Billybob and cast of characters, like Hidden Spirit, Morning Star and many others were always near.
