Edmund Gordon is an award-winning writer and critic, and Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at King's College London. His first book, THE INVENTION OF ANGELA CARTER, received the Somerset Maugham Award and the Slightly Foxed/Biographers' Club Best First Biography Prize, and was a finalist for the US National Book Critics' Circle Award. It was selected as a 2016 Book of the Year in the Financial Times, Guardian, Observer, Daily Telegraph, Spectator and Sunday Times, and as a Notable Book of 2017 in the New York Times. Edmund's essays and reviews appear frequently in the Times Literary Supplement and the London Review of Books. He lives in London with his wife and two children.
