Although I've been writing for many years, Orphan Boys is my first book to be published. I'd been writing a novel and kept coming up against a block that I couldn't pass. A friend suggested that I write my own story and that would help me to get it out of my system. The next day I started writing Orphan Boys and thankfully, my friend was right. After eighteen years working in the TV industry, I'm proud to have my first book published. I'm looking forward to getting the book out there for people to read and to hearing their feedback. Originally from Weardale in the north of England, I now live in Scotland with my husband and a sock-stealing Jack Russell terrier. I'm currently working on my next book which is a novel set in the world of breakfast television.
