Sadaf Raza is a researcher, a trainer and a writer, and a rights activist. She managed several projects with national and International organizations. She developed resource material on gender based violence (GBV) for children, teachers and the community. She has conducted seminars, talk shows, interviews on different aspects of girl child’s education, non formal education in Pakistan, early girl’s marriage, gender based violence, child rights/protection. On the issue of ‘honour’ killing, she developed policy briefs in which she highlighted the loopholes in the ‘honour’ killing law and impediments to its implementation in Pakistan. Sadaf has conducted number of workshops on women leadership. She mentors young men and women through her forum Hum Das crore on challenging the social construction of women. She has published two collections of poetry, Like a sleepwalker and Write me in Red. Her writings have been dubbed ‘as glimpses into the lives of Pakistani women’, and her work has been reviewed/apprised by renowned South Asian writers and critics. Sadaf Raza is associated with Rotary International, for the last many years and was the President of Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan, 2015-16. She is also the founding President of Soroptimist International of Gandhara. As the President of both these clubs she has managed number of fund raising events, musical and classical dance performances, Fashion shows, Exhibitions, poetry recitals, etc. Sadaf is a certified Reiki Master/ teacher and runs a practice by the name of Reiki for well being.
