Drucker is a little more academic than most 'modern' management authors, yet still very interesting and highly relevant. Not a lot of feel good nonsense, very crisp and lean content, Harvard Business School sums up the feeling you get after reading a chapter. Provides the basic framework needed to understand business strategy. If only real life situations allowed you the time to Drucker them.
